Bolivar Medical Center
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the critical care setting. Communicates with physicians about changes in patients clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in performance improvement and CQI activities.
Graduate of a school of nursing.
Current state Registered Nurse Licensure.
Two or more years of recent critical care experience.
Successful completion of critical care course.
Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certification.
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional languages preferred.
Basic computer knowledge.
Proficient with EMR documentation
Complete intial and department specific skills competencies as required. Completion of intial and department specific competencies should occur within a three (3) month time period not to exceed four (4) months from date of hire. Any remediation/additional training needed will be scheduled by the department manager.
Obtain restraint and moderate sedation training/competencies as required by policy.
