Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for assisting in planning and organizing the programs and operations of the Ocean Springs Hospital and Singing River Hospital within the Singing River Health System strategic plan and mission statement. Demonstrates effectiveness in assisting the Chief Executive Officer in the short-term and long term strategic planning functions of the institution. The Chief Financial Officer directs the operation of the Finance Department to ensure quality services are provided and helps to ensure that the operations of the Finance Department are within the fiscal and productivity guidelines as established by the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Financial Officer directs the operations of the Accounting, Business Office, Health Information Management, Patient Access, Information System, Decision Support, Managed Care, Materials Management, and Financial Services departments. The Chief Financial Officer maintains all policies, procedures and systems in compliance with JCAHO standards, identifies problems and takes corrective action. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial records of SRHS.

Education
Bachelors degree with a major in Accounting, CPA designation and/or MBA is required.

Experience
Minimum of five (5) years experience with CFO responsibilities, preferably in a hospital setting is required.

Physical Demands
Office work is primarily sedentary; however, walks, stands, sits and uses other physical motions in performing daily activities. Visits to other system facilities and away from the facility are required.
