Job Description

Health related clinical training and/or experience required. Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in nursing or its equivalent. Five years experience as a nurse manager, supervisor, nurse educator or a staff nurse required. On going education through seminars, audio conferences, workshops, journals, etc. required to maintain a level of expertise. Healthcare Professional Certification in Healthcare required after one year in the management role. Will be responsible for the organizing and directing of a comprehensive accreditation program to assure continual compliance to the healthcare standards put forth by DNV on Accreditation of Healthcare, as well as other regulatory organizations such as CMS and ISO. The manager will assist other departments in planning, preparing and maintaining performance improvement activities. Responsible for informing the department directors of standards required by the accrediting agency and recommending changes to enhance a public trust of the hospital for payments made in return for services rendered. Will work under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and/or with the direction of specific committees, Quality Outcomes, etc. in regards to implementing safe and quality patient care to the community it serves.
