Job Description

Promote timely and quality departmental operation by assisting staff with communication, scheduling, facilitating transportation, charging and charge reconciliation, preparation of all patient related forms, orders, statistical data, comparison records and patient rooms. Organize, coordinate and facilitate inpatient and outpatient flow. Act as primary communication link between patients, staff, physicians and other departments. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years of college with basic computer and business courses preferred.
Experience: None necessary. Employee must perform at satisfactory level at three months. Two years experience with hospital functions and diagnostic procedures preferred.
Skills: Competent at basic computer skills, math, general medical knowledge and terminology and general knowledge of hospital functions and diagnostic procedures. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to multi task and access needs and act accordingly.
